Internet Marketing Solution

This is a real pet peeve of mine and I’m sure yours too. Did you ever get an email saying something like, “Increase your traffic by 100% for free” and then when you inquire about this “method” you find out that it’s not really free at all and the increase in your traffic is negligible…if at all. I don’t know about you, but this is the kind of stuff that gives Internet marketing and Internet marketers in particular a bad reputation. If you don’t want to end up as one of those marketers people talk about under their breaths with a growl and a snarl, don’t do it.

Okay, I know…sell the sizzle…not the steak. I realize that this

is a very competitive niche and we have to look for every advantage that we can get. But outright lying is not the way to do it. Believe it or not, I make a nice 6 figure a year income without having to resort to telling lies and half truths. As a matter of fact, when somebody writes to me and I tell them that my product may NOT be the solution to their problem, they thank me for my honesty and in many cases, they either buy it anyway or buy something else from me down the road. I assure you that my customers are some of the happiest on the Internet because of my honesty.

But if you

are going to make claims, you better be able to back them up. For example, if you DO come out with the kind of ad that I discussed earlier, then you better be able to show that increase in traffic. Screen prints, or better yet, videos of your AWStats or Analytics will go a long way to convincing your prospects that you are being straight with them. If you tell them that they have the opportunity to earn up to $3,000 a month, or whatever the figure is, then back it up. Show them photos of your checks or bank deposits. The more proof you show, the better.

The alternative to this is that you end up getting a lot

of people angry at you. That results in a ton of refunds and your reputation being dragged through the mud. If you think I am kidding, go look up Joe Kumar and you’ll see how a successful kid ended up having to move to an uncharted island. It wasn’t pretty.

By backing up what you claim, you establish yourself as a marketer that can be trusted.
